And you thought that our work is easy
Feel free to kiss thy ass of your head for that person holds your dear life in the organization. The feeling of battling your own set of principles and the set rules of the company (which is very bureaucratic in nature) is very difficult. As an HR practitioner, you are expected to be the arbiter between the the management and the employees. The actions that are expected on you is to be just and fair on the employees, but still would not jeopardize anything about the management. Some would think that our job is easy; We'll just pass different documents, sign different papers, cascade memos from the management, ask for different requirements on personnel for the satisfaction of something that would promote or add up for the status of the company that the employees would think it is unnecessary, given that they have no time complying for the requirements because they are too busy and preoccupied on their job. Yes, maybe, if we'll weigh the gravity between the market of people that we are catering, I can say that they have the edge on that given that they are handling people's lives, but they should not discount the fact that without us- without the HR who is handles the company's internal customers- There would be power imbalance; The organization can impose all remarks and policies that they wanted without seeing the perspective of their employees.
To all people out there who are thinking that HR is not essential, then, please, show us some love.

On your first six months
Its been six months since I started my job as a Recruitment & Training Associate, and yet, I still have struggles in in predicting the amount of time that should be allotted going to work.
I usually wake up at 6:30 in the morning (Given that my brother or mother will shout at me because of the time) then prepare myself going to work. But today was different, I woke up at almost 7:00 am. Desperate, I tried not to commence my usual C.R rituals. Being a person who is somewhat phlegmatic in movement, Having spent 10 minutes for C.R time is an achievement. I usually spend 15 minutes just sitting in the toilet bowl, (Minimum, If I can still Elric Ayop's voice on our television) reflecting, and having life's decisions on our C.R. After contemplating, I then dressed up on my usual get up: in polo shirt, jeans, and my favorite one and only pair Chuck Taylor that was bought by my girlfriend when she went to New York. On work, I'm usually bombarded with different tasks that requires me to focus and think. Given that I need to fill-in a vacant position just for 2 weeks, Including the processing of documents for requirements and contracts, The quest for that personnel is very excruciating. This week, I was assigned to propose the compensation and benefits that comes with job on the top 1 candidate for the Junior Internal Auditor's Position; We are hoping that he will accept the compensation of 14,000.00/mo . How can I convince someone that he should accept our offer given that he was earning 20,000.00/mo in his last salary? Do I need to emphasize to him that he should not demand that much given that now he is unemployed? To be honest, salary is not the best asset of our company, even if our company is a well established one. I can say that the compensation that the job is offering is not enough to let the employees realize that he/she should stay. Anyway, I am still hoping that ill be able to look for the best candidate for the position. Good luck to me and to my 2nd six months
